RC's Principals' Resumes - Qualifications and Experience One of RC's strengths is the depth of knowledge, background and training that we offer. Francine Butler, Jerry Bowman and David Stumph's years of experience have been spent as CEOs of professional associations, including large and small, local and national/international, professional and trade associations. They have been speakers on numerous association issues such as board/staff relations, long-range planning, non-dues sources of income, bylaws and member needs assessment. The principals provide oversight and management for the executive and governance components of client operations. They work with the Board to ensure compliance with non-profit regulations, provide strategic planning, and help with leadership development. Francine Butler, PhD, CAE, CMP, President , has spent 24 years as an association executive. She is a member of many professional/scientific societies, author and lecturer, and serves as the Executive Director of several national professional associations. Dr. Butler was clinical instructor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for 20 years where she did research on infant development. She was Grants Administrator for the Developmental Psychobiology Research group. She is the Past President of the Colorado Society of Association Executives, and has made numerous contributions to associations including the American Society of Association Executives' committees, workshops and evaluation team. She served on the Board of the Professional Convention Management Association and its Foundation. In 1988 she received the "Colorado Association Executive of the Year" award. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). She has been an active member of the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) and serves as Secretary-Treasurer. She also serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Federation of Behavioral, Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, a consortium of 16 societies and their Foundation whose focus is research advocacy based in Washington, DC, and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association on Association Management Companies (IAAMC). Jerry Bowman, CAE, Chairman of the Board , has been an association executive and CEO for medical associations and their subsidiaries since 1958. These include the California Medical Association, San Diego Medical Society, San Diego Foundation for Medical Care, Colorado Medical Association, and the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care. He was the President of the San Diego Society of Association Executives. In 1984 he received the first "Colorado Association Executive of the Year" award. He has been active in the Western Conference for Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives for over 40 years. Jerry Bowman is a lifetime Certified Association Executive (CAE), the highest professional association achievement. He is active in many community service organizations and projects. David Stumph, IOM, CAE, Vice President , has more than 26 years of association management experience. Prior to joining RC, he served as vice president of an association management company in Seattle, WA; served as a sole proprietor, part owner, and vice president of three separate association management companies in Chicago. He has managed a variety of professional and trade associations including organizations representing such professions as healthcare quality, administration, medical, nursing, healthcare technology as well as associations representing building construction, architecture and retail. David was awarded the IOM graduate recognition for having completed a comprehensive course of study in nonprofit management through the U.S. Chamber's Institute for Organization Management and earned his certification as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) in 1986. He has been an active participant on a number of committees of the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) and currently serves as chair of its Winter Meeting. In 1996 David was awarded the distiguished member award by the Association Forum of Chicagoland, formerly the Chicago Society of Association Executives. The National Association for Healthcare Quality, an organization that David managed for fourteen years, named in perpetuity a special award in his honor, The David L. Stumph Publishing Excellence Award in Healthcare Quality. Kristi Klinke, Member Services Director, oversees the Member Services Department staff who handle all member inquiries, recruitment/retention activities, new member and renewal application processing, address changes, dues processing, meeting registration and customer service requests. She coordinates production of client directories, special member services promotions, member surveys, mass email alerts, weekly meeting registration reports, and monthly membership data. As a principal of RC, she oversees or participates in many of our human resource functions, including: prospective employee interviews, new employee orientation, exit interviews, and policy development. She has over 13 years of experience in office management and HR services.
